In today's article, I will guide you, How to Lock a Particular Directory from cPanel. So let's get started.

  • First go to your cPanel account, and then login.
  • After that, find out the Files section, and then here you can see the "File Manager" option.
  • Simply click on it, and then you will be redirected to the File Manager page.
  • Now go inside to the Public_html, and then select that folder which you want to access with password.
  • Now right-click on the folder, and then here you can see the "Password Protect" option.
  • Simply click on it, and then you will come to the next page.
  • So on this page, select this "Password protect" option, and then you can see our directory path will automatically appear on here.
  • Now click on this "Save" button, and then you can see our directory is successfully locked with password protect option.
  • So now if you Go back, then here you can set the User and Password on your directory.
