Resource usage

I. Description

In our attempt to prevent overloads that may adversely affect the response time of your websites, we have set specific resource limits for our shared web hosting plans. These limitations help prevent excessive resource consumption by large users, ensuring stable server performance for all customers. Server abuse is not strictly limited to exceeding these limits; YottaSrc reserves the right to determine abuse at its discretion. This User Policy applies to shared web hosting accounts and web reseller plans.

II. Purpose

These limitations are in place to protect you from service disruptions. Most accounts will not be affected by these restrictions. However, if you believe that these limitations may impact your service functionality, please contact a YottaSrc representative for assistance in determining optimal settings or alternative solutions.

III. Restrictions

1. Backup

   • YottaSrc servers are not to be used as storage systems. Each account is permitted only a single backup storage instance.

2. Reselling

   • Reselling hosting services is not allowed on shared accounts. Customers interested in reselling must purchase a Reseller package.

3. Adult Websites

   • Hosting, linking, or promoting adult content is strictly prohibited on the YottaSrc network. Customers requiring such services should seek specialized hosting providers.

4. Web Applications and Scripts

   • Webmasters must regularly update and evaluate their applications to ensure security and performance.
   • Forums or applications allowing user comments must have spam protection measures, such as CAPTCHA.
   • Hosting accounts are strictly for website hosting and may not be used for backup storage or remote website services.
   • All installed applications must be continuously updated.
   • Each hosting package has a limit on the number of simultaneous web connections.

5. Cron Jobs

   • There is no strict time limit on cron jobs, but running them continuously may exhaust allocated resources. Users should monitor their usage to ensure optimal performance.

6. Email and Mailing Lists

   • Using YottaSrc servers for spam or unsolicited commercial messages is strictly prohibited.
   • Any account found sending spam will be suspended without notice.
   • Purchased or third-party mailing lists are not allowed.
   • All mailing list emails must include an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing must be automated.
   • SMTP gateways must only be used for domains hosted with YottaSrc.
   • If a hosting account or email is exploited by spammers, it may be suspended immediately.
   • Networks infected with spam malware may also result in account suspension.
   • Mailing lists with over 5,000 members require a VPS or dedicated server.
   • All messages must be sent via SMTP authentication; the PHP mail() function is not allowed.

7. SSH Access

   • Some shared hosting plans (e.g., cPanel, WordPress, and Telegram plans) include SSH/terminal access. This is specified in the package description before purchase.
   • VPS and dedicated servers come with full root access.

IV. Account Suspension

YottaSrc will attempt to contact account holders to resolve any identified issues. In urgent situations, accounts may be suspended before prior notice. Failure to comply with these terms may result in account suspension or deletion.

YottaSrc reserves the right to remove any account without notice. If your account is terminated due to policy violations, you forfeit the right to request a refund, even if payment was made in advance.

V. Allocated Resources

Resources available for each hosting plan:

• CPU - Number of cores allocated
• RAM - Physical memory used by applications
• I/O - Read/write speed on SSD
• IOPS - Number of read/write operations per second

Resource Usage Guidelines:

If an account consistently uses the maximum allocated resources for extended periods, YottaSrc will contact the account holder to suggest optimizations or recommend an upgrade to a higher resource plan. However, for dedicated resources, usage is not shared, and there are no holds or limitations if all resources are utilized. Since these resources are solely allocated to you, you can always monitor your usage from your cPanel >> Resource Usage section.
